I chanced upon an ad in the local daily last week and saw this job posting by Limketkai Sons, Inc. shown above. Apparently, the company is looking for one (1) Project Manager specifically for High Rise Building construction. They’re definitely looking for experience (10 years).

International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) Mindanao Container Terminal (MCT) handled 64, 914 twenty equivalent units (TEUs) of cargoes in the first seven months of this year, up 3.5 percent from 62, 676 TEUs a year ago.

Latest photos of Laguindingan Airport taken from skyscrapercity are posted here. The major building components are now under construction. The Main Airport Terminal, Control Tower, Administration Bldg., Power House, Crash Fire & Rescue Bldg. and Cargo Terminal are now rising as well as airport facilities such as the Apron and Taxiway A.

National Power Corp. (Napocor) said power shortage in the Mindanao grid has now eased, as one of idled plants on the island resumed operation yesterday.
“With STEAG generating at 210 megawatts (September 24), generation is more than enough to supply the demand of Mindanao grid,” said Napocor spokesman Dennis Gana.

Renowned sculptor Ed Castrillo has started the groundworks for the Heritage Monument at the Vicente de Lara Park fronting the Provincial Capitol of Misamis Oriental. His staff are laying the steel bars which will act as the main supports for the sculptured figures. The main obelisk area have been isolated by temporary aluminum sheets.

The Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) recently revived a plan to construct a P7.8 billion world-class airport at Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental.
The Laguindingan International Airport (LIA) should have been completed in 2002, but was shelved due to lack of funds.
